A Party to Murder
A Party to Murder is a murder mystery set in a country estate in Connecticut in 1936. It follows Francine Bentley, Kay Chandler, and Inspector Holbrook. Francine is trying to organize a birthday party for her friend, Abigail Pennyworth, while Kay (Francine's assistant) is trying to overcome being ridiculed and ostracized by the socialites who are visiting the house. During the party, a storm takes out the power, and upon the lights being restored, one of the visitors is found dead. Inspector Holbrook attempts to figure out who the murderer is, while Francine tries to keep the house from tearing itself apart.
